How To Become A Volunteer

Banksia Palliative Care Service Inc.

Volunteers are an integral part of the organisation. No role is more important than the other.

If you would like to give back to your local community and think volunteering sounds interesting, please join us to learn about our Volunteer Program and
how your contribution can make a difference. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinator on 9455 0822.

Our next Information Session will be held in early March.   Register your interest by emailing volunteer@banksiapalliative.com.au  or calling 9455 0822.

We looking forward to meeting you.

Client Support

Our Client Support Volunteers perform a role of a non-medical support person and through visits, provide comfort and support to clients (patients), carers and families.

They keep staff and team members, informed of any client, carer or family concerns. Some other parts of their role are respite and transport.

Community Awareness

Our community awareness group was formerly known as the Friends of Banksia. Banksia endeavours to empower our Volunteers to participate in the roles they enjoy the most.

Our Community Awareness Volunteers are an important means for Banksia to be able to ensure children and adults access our services at the most appropriate time of their illness.

Administration Support

Administration, printing, mail-outs and collating are just some of the essential help that our Administration Support Volunteers provide.

Our Administration Staff oversee and guide the volunteers in the important tasks that need to be completed.
