How you can Support Banksia…

Banksia Palliative Care is funded by a contribution of State and Federal funding.  However, it is always necessary to seek financial support from other sources to fill the gap in core funding.

Some ways of supporting our work:

• Become a Banksia Volunteer.
• Make a donation (donations of $2 or more are tax deductible).
• Add a charity event with your club or business.
• Consider joining our Committee of Management.
• Share our Social Media posts to raise awareness of the services we offer.

Banksia is a not for profit, tax exempt, charity status organisation.

Make a Donation

At Banksia, we invest every dollar donated into making our clients’ lives better. We believe that when people donate they want to have a direct impact, and so we use the money to help our clients and carers, who are often experiencing significant financial burden related to loss of income and mounting medical expenses.

Donations pay for medications, utilities, transportation to and from medical appointments, equipment and medical supplies, and respite services – whatever our clients need.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

How to make a donation:

• Donate online. If you click on the link, you can donate directly with a credit card/
• For phone donations, please call 03 9455 0822.
• Mail donations – cheques can be sent to: 472 Lower Heidelberg Road, Heidelberg VIC 3084.
• If you would like donation envelopes for funerals or memorials, please call us or email reception@banksiapalliative.com.au.

Bequests

Leaving a bequest in your will, can make a lasting difference. There are several ways you can do this in your will:

• You can nominate a specific amount of money to be donated to Banksia. This amount does not change with any growth or depreciation of your estate.
• Nominate a percentage of your estate that you would like Banksia to receive.
• Nominate a percentage of the remainder of your estate (known as the residue) to Banksia.  This amount is after you have provided for family and friends.

Always discuss your will with a legal professional to ensure your wishes are recorded correctly.

We would like to thank all of our supporters, including many local organisations.  In addition to money, Banksia has been fortunate to receive beautiful handmade quilts, socks, beanies and syringe driver bags.  These items have such an incredible impact on our clients who are often overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and comforted by these beautiful hand made items.
