Our social walking group is a peer support group that connects bereaved people with the lived experience of caring for a loved one with a terminal illness. The group provides an opportunity to connect with others who shared a lived experience. This group is open to family and friends of former Banksia Palliative Care Service patients.
The walking trails are located in our catchment areas of Nillumbik, Banyule, and Whittlesea. After each walk, participants are invited to enjoy refreshments at a local cafe.
Walks are held from 10:30 am – 12 pm + Cafe on the days listed below. Walks have taken place at Warrandyte, Heide Gallery and other local parks. We will make contact with all participants to confirm attendance and advise the location.
Note: if the weather does not permit the walk to go ahead, our team will make contact with all participants to determine alternative arrangements.
